Not that I've been able to play much lately - developed a bad tendinitis in my right arm and have had to rest it for the past 5+ months - every time I think it is getting better it flares up again. frustrating........

I know all about it...
I keep playing anyhow - though my wife shouldn't see that - she's a physiotherapist...
However - just keeping hands off flutes and hard-to-play-bagpipes (just mouthblown smallpipes for the moment) makes it at least not worse...

What do you think causes the tendonitis? Is it the long reaches between notes?

dunno, I play the uilleann pipes too, but I think it has more to do with us going to an electronic medical record at work and lots of mouse use.
