Not gaita, but I was just wondering if anyone here played the Swedish pipes too.

I've been looking at this website, cool stuff, tempting to add to my pipe collection. :-)

How about you Mikko, do you play these up in Finland?

I have a set by Lei Erikson, and they are easy to maintain, and great fun to play with a haunting soft sound. Seth's sets look very good. I like the changeable sixth note ( can be major or minor ) . Mine just came with two chanters.

Sorry, my way with pipes is Celtic..Uilleann/Border/Highland/Gaita.Finnish pipes sounds nice, but just not my taste.

I think that's cool Mikko. :-)

I like the name of the website too, Kansasmusikki :-)

I live in the state of Kansas in the USA, and am therefore a "Kansan". Does that mean I play Kansanmusikki?

:D

Mikko, why the double headstock? HDoes the bagpipe ever have a second drone there?

No idea....but I think that becouse that set is now like "newproduction" there migth be some developements going on.Cornemuse Bourbonnais has second drone on the same stock
with chanter, perhaps idea taken from there.
