They are not paki-gaitas, they are made by Francesc Sans, a Catalonian Maker who makes good and very cheap instruments. He make Grallas (catalonian shawns), Dulzainas (from Castilla and Aragon), Dolçainas (from Valencia), Tarotas (low shawns), Ciaramellas (from Italy), Trompas from Ribagorza (another Shawns), Sac de Gemecs (catalonian bagpipe) and Galician Gaitas.

He is not expensive, maybe he uses some "technologic help" for make instruments quickly. His gaitas are not the best but they sound correctly.

(Note: you will not find gaitas in the Catalogue, but he makes them, and the appearance it´s the same as Folkfriends web).

Does anybody know about the quality of these gaitas? Are they also made by Sans Luthier or somebody else? They don't seem very expensive. I was wondering if they play and sound well.

I asked tununutunumba who made these and they wouldn't tell me because they said I might then just go straight to the maker and buy them cheaper, they assured me though that they weren't from Pakistan and that they were made in Spain.

They are made by Represas. I started with one of these and they are really bad.

You can read a lof of information in other forums about Pakistan Scottish Bagpipes. You buy one of them, you notify the bad quality and yoy need to sell it and buy another bagpipe with a MINIMUN OF QUALITY.

This is the same. What is the reason for employ the money in a bad instrument? Yes, they are cheap. But YES, they are bad!
