chaotikend wrote:I like the two tenor drones! Those must make the gaita sound really full. I think a low A or even a G chanter would sound good with drones in C.

They do!! But I found that I need a stronger reed in the chanter (Henriquez is just fine) so the drones don't overwhelm the chanter
Well, I was actually thinking of getting extensions to convert the drones to A as well, but for now there is no money even for the chanter, so, we'll see..

Chillon made of lignum vitae, A. All other parts - granadilla. Drone in C/D, chanter in C. Everything from Seivane.

Thank you. I dislike a little that clillon is from a different kit, but, from the other side, this fact has some national flavor. Like in jokes about "Soviet Russia" where something always geoes wrong..

the chillon will most likely darken over time and be less noticeable, even if it doesn't it is beautifully turned and nice looking anyway.

Really nice set, the granadilla is very dark on the picture. The granadilla on my pipes are more black/brownish!

Color on the photo strongly depends on light and some technical aspects of photography. Even black gaita, if it was shot with a flash, on a photo will look brown as cocobolo.

Moi kaikille, minulla on kuva jonka haluaisin lisätä mutta en voi julkaista täysikokoisena, mitään ideoita?
